The sun is shining as we head over to Mitre 10 Mega in Ferrymead - the starting point for our trip to the Wheatsheaf Tavern. But as we head towards the Lyttleton tunnel the hazy greyness of low cloud, starts to creep over the hills.
A nice early start saw us rolling in to the Highway Inn around 8.30am, with only 3 keen cars beating us to breakfast. But by the time we were leaving the car park was filling itself up…
Well the Mayans were wrong and we made it to 2013. First Sunday was promising to be a good one – the weather man had promised sunny skies and 24′c. Was abit windy to begin with, but off we head for breaky and then it would be onto Rodbenders Back to Work Run to Ashley gorge.
It had clouded over by the time we got to Ashley Gorge, which was probably a good thing as it kept the pesky sandflies at bay
Its coming up to that time again when the 6 Fella’s hold their annual toy run to Chch Hospital, providing toys to the kids stuck in hostpital over christmas.
Americars are hosting their annual USA day once again out in Woodend, open to all American origin vechicles and with the sun winning the battle against the clouds there is a good turn out.
The first Sunday of November and we have the usual breaky park up and Americars Annual USA day.
Breaky defiantly wasn’t as busy with a lot of cars heading straight out to the USA day show. You wouldn’t have even known that it had rained the whole day before hand, except for some rain/dew covered cars that had stayed the night at the Highway Inn.
A beautiful sunny spring morning awaited us for a breaky park up today.

It’s getting to that time of year again, the days are getting longer and the nights are remaining warmer. Time to dust off the BBQ and start burning some bangers.
Please take note of different leaving places. Cruise will be leaving at 6.30pm for our different destinations. Just $5 will get you a burger, sausage and raffle ticket.

17 January: Meet at the Highway Inn for a short trip out to Radical Choppers in Kaiapoi
21 February: Meet at Mitre 10 Mega for a drive through the tunnel to the Wheatcheaf Pub
